1. India Russia Friendship Motor Rally – New Delhi to St. Petersburg
Start on 8th Sept 2017 flag off from New Delhi, India.
End 27th Sept 2017 at Saint Petersburg, Russia
2. India Russia Friendship Motor Rally – inside India
The start date will be 8th September 2017 “India Russia Friendship Motor Rally 2017” from New Delhi – Moscow – New Delhi, will be flagged off with 20 teams in 22 cars comprising of 80 participants to cover 19,235 kms by road & 1960 NM by sea. The team will have participants from India, Iran, Azerbaijan and Russia.
The rally is being organized by Kalinga Motor Sports Club (KMSC), Bhubaneswar, Odisha, under the aegis of Ministry of External Affairs, Ministry of Commerce &
Industry, Government of India, and The Embassy of The Russian Federation in India.
This friendship car rally is in celebration of “70 YEARS of Diplomatic Relations between India and Russia” and “70 YEARS of Indian Independence”. KMSC will be conducting a route survey covering the entire route in the month of June. While all the Indian cars are being supplied by Mahindra & Mahindra, KMSC is in the process of finalizing adding Russian vehicles to the convoy.
To commemorate these 70 year old landmarks of friendship, diplomacy and independence, year 2017-18 will see a series of celebrations of art, culture, films festivals, business seminars, exchange programs and many more events across both the countries. And “India Russia Friendship Motor Rally 2017” is one of the activities.

Rally will commence on 8th September 2017 from New Delhi and will be completed in 2 phases

Phase –1    New Delhi-Kandla by road in India; Kandla-Bandar Abbas (Iran) by sea; Bandar Abbas-Moscow – Saint Petersburg by road

Phase-2     Jamnagar-Goa- Bangalore-Kudankulam- Chennai-Hyderabad- Bhilai-Vishakhapatnam- Bhubaneswar-Ranchi- Vindyachal-Rishikesh- New Delhi (Places where units are in joint venture with Russia)
Distance Covered- By Road-7920 Km
This rally will promote connectivity between Indian and Russia to boost trade and investments. The focus is to strengthen the existing friendship, cooperation in cultural spheres, tourism, science & research. It will further promote trade through the International North South Transport Corridor-INSTC. Above all, the aim of the rally is to cement direct people to people contact, which will further strengthen the existing bilateral relations.
